Richard A. Shaw Fund

The Richard A. Shaw Fund supports nonprofit organizations and public schools in the Omaha metropolitan area that advance history, natural sciences, outdoor education, and animal welfare programs. Awards of up to $3,500 are granted annually during the June 1 – July 15 application period.

Eligibility

  • notes: Public schools or public school systems in the Omaha metropolitan area (Douglas, Sarpy, or Pottawattamie Counties) emphasizing history, natural sciences, and outdoor education; OR public 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations benefiting animals (wild or domesticated), with preference for equine therapy programs. Organization must be located in the Omaha metropolitan area. Private educational institutions and religiously-based institutions will not be considered. Grant dollars limited to programming and projects, not operating expenses.
