The Indiana Climate and Democracy Catalyst Fund, administered by The Indianapolis Foundation in collaboration with regional funders, provides grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofits in Indiana working on environmental equity, decarbonization, and inclusive democracy. The fund prioritizes grassroots, place-based organizations serving frontline communities and accepts applications on a rolling basis with quarterly funding decisions.

Eligibility

  • notes: Must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tribal government, or rural government centered in Indiana and led by Indiana communities with measurable community outcomes. Focuses on frontline communities, place-based organizations, grassroots and newly developing organizations. Multi-year awards require organization to have filed 990-tax return for at least three previous years. Projects must address environmental equity and/or inclusive democracy; individual behavior change programs, land conservation, hunger relief, recycling, and animal welfare are not eligible.
