The Erie County Community Foundation offers community grants to support projects serving Erie County, Ohio residents. Applicants can apply through the online grant portal with two annual cycles—February 1 and August 1 deadlines. Eligible organizations include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, governmental entities, churches, schools, and other tax-exempt entities.

Churches, schools, and governmental entities covered by group exemption must provide group exemption letter and documentation of inclusion. Organizations cannot have outstanding or overdue grant reports. Cannot have already received funding in the same calendar year without prior approval. Projects must not be for advertising/sponsorships, annual campaigns, debt reduction, medical/research, political/lobbying, sectarian religious purposes, or fundraising event tickets. Direct payment to individuals prohibited; grants paid to sponsoring nonprofit on behalf of individual (education and health-related needs only).
