COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR MONTEREY COUNTY

The Siembra Latinos Fund is an affiliate fund of the Community Foundation for Monterey County that provides grants to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations and public agencies serving predominantly Latino residents in Monterey County. The fund supports program expansion, new programs, and operating support for organizations with proven community impact.

The Fund for Homeless Women supports nonprofit organizations providing programs and services for homeless women on the Monterey Peninsula. Grants range from up to $5,000 for emergency assistance to $10,000–$50,000 for initiatives expanding shelter, housing, and case management services.

An endowed field of interest fund that distributes grants annually to charitable, educational, or scientific organizations conducting top-level research on breast cancer causes and cures. The fund prioritizes organizations like Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation, and California Breast Cancer Research Program, but may consider similar organizations.

Organizational Development grants support focused, strategic projects that strengthen a nonprofit's ability to be resilient. Monterey County nonprofits can receive funding for unique, non-recurring management or leadership situations such as leadership transitions, strategic planning, or infrastructure upgrades. Grants are reviewed by the Community Foundation for Monterey County's Center for Nonprofit Excellence staff.
