Special and Urgent Needs (SUN) Fund

The Adirondack Community Foundation's Special and Urgent Needs Fund provides responsive grants to assist Adirondack communities and nonprofits during times of crisis and unexpected funding gaps. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis year-round with decisions typically made within two to three weeks.

Eligibility

  • notes: Organizations must be located in or serve the Adirondack region of New York (Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton counties and parts of Herkimer, St. Lawrence, Warren, Washington counties within Adirondack Park boundary, and Saint Regis Mohawk Reservation). Must be tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) or be a public agency/municipality. Must provide services without discrimination based on race, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, or sexual orientation.
