Urgent Needs Grants

The Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan has reactivated its Urgent Needs Fund to support nonprofit organizations and eligible institutions providing vital services to individuals and families affected by the March/April 2025 ice storms in northeast Michigan. Grants support direct assistance such as food, utilities, cleanup, and property repairs in response to the disaster.

Eligibility

  • notes: Organization must be a 501c3 nonprofit, government agency, church, or school actively helping individuals and families affected by the ice storm. Must serve one or more of these counties in northeast Michigan: Alcona, Alpena, Cheboygan, Crawford, Montmorency, Presque Isle, Oscoda, or serve Mackinaw City and Bois Blanc Island. Schools must include a letter of support from superintendent. Requests for direct support to individuals are prioritized.
