Opportunity Grant Guidelines

Offered by COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF THE LOWCOUNTRY INC

The Community Foundation of the Lowcountry offers Opportunity Grants up to $10,000 to nonprofit organizations in a four-county service area in South Carolina. These grants support new programs, project expansion, or capital improvements that serve marginalized community members.

Eligibility

  • notes: Must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; serve Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton, or Jasper Counties in South Carolina; attend an Impact Information Session within 12 months of application deadline; maintain current GuideStar or Giving Marketplace profile; have a social justice statement in place; receive an Access Code from Community Investment staff. Will not fund: general operating support, sectarian/religious activities, political activities, grants to individuals, endowments, fundraising campaigns, special events, scholarships, or staff positions.
