The Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation awards grants to nonprofit organizations carrying out important work in the Greater Itasca Area. The Partner Grants cycle provides funding for one-time needs and specific projects serving Portage and Waushara Counties. Nonprofits, schools, government entities, and established community groups can request up to $5,000 for projects aligned with five mission areas: Arts & Culture, Education, Environment, Helping People, and Wellness.

The LGBTQIA2S+ Equality Fund provides grants to support lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and non-binary individuals and families in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area. Grants support healthcare, legal services, leadership development, and safe shelter for LGBTQIA2S+ communities, with up to $200,000 in total annual funding available.

The Futuro Latino Fund supports initiatives and organizations that benefit Latino communities in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area through resident-led decision making. Up to $175,000 in grant funding is awarded annually, with average grants of $10,000 to $15,000, to eligible 501(c)(3) organizations with budgets not exceeding $500,000.

The African American Unity Fund supports initiatives and organizations that benefit the African American community in Omaha through resident-led decision making. The program awards up to $225,000 annually in grants (up to $30,000 per organization) across funding priorities including arts and culture, basic human needs, community development, health and wellness, and capacity building.

The Omaha Neighborhood Grants program supports community leaders and resident-led organizations doing impactful work in Omaha neighborhoods. Up to $80,000 in grant funding is awarded annually, with an average grant of $2,500, to support projects that develop neighborhood resident leadership skills and address local priorities.

The Fund for Omaha provides grants up to $25,000 to local nonprofit organizations working to strengthen communities through improved access to essential services, economic opportunity, housing, maternal health, and mental/behavioral health. Applicants must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations with annual budgets of $5 million or less serving the Omaha metropolitan area.
