Capacity Building Fund at The Denver Foundation

The Denver Foundation offers developmental support grants to help qualified nonprofits build organizational capacity through learning opportunities such as strategic planning, governance development, cybersecurity training, and racial equity work. Grants range from $500–$6,000, with decisions made monthly on a rolling basis.

Eligibility

  • notes: Organization must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or have a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor. Must have received a grant from The Denver Foundation within the last three years. Work must serve the seven-county Metro Denver region. Organization must be aligned with core values of community member/constituent leadership and racial equity. Must have a written scope of work from consultant. Not eligible: organizations with fund balance deficits, those with discriminatory practices, activities before grant award, capital campaigns, endowments, membership campaigns, food/travel costs, political/religious activities, grants to individuals, scholarships, or parochial schools.
