Focus Grants
The Community Foundation of Southwest Washington's Focus Grants support organizations working to interrupt cycles of intergenerational poverty through participatory processes that balance immediate support with long-term systemic change. Awards typically range from $25,000 to $50,000, with two application cycles annually.
Eligibility
- notes: Nonprofits must demonstrate work to disrupt cycles of intergenerational poverty. Priority given to organizations serving populations disproportionally impacted by economic, racial, and social inequities including: Black, Indigenous, Latina/o/x, Native Hawaiian, Pasifika communities; foster youth; immigrants/refugees; historically under-resourced communities; people affected by criminal justice system; people with behavioral health issues; people with disabilities; low-income populations; LGBTQ2S+ individuals; unstably housed/unhoused; rural and distressed communities; survivors of domestic violence, gender violence, sex trafficking, and child abuse. Multi-year funding available on limited basis. Organizations must wait until next calendar year to reapply if awarded in Cycle 1; may apply in Cycle 2 same year if declined in Cycle 1.
