Community Sharing Fund Grant

The Community Sharing Fund provides emergency financial assistance to individuals and families facing short-term financial hardship in Dakota, Ramsey, or Washington counties, Minnesota. Grants are awarded through referrals from nonprofit organizations and government agencies for needs such as rent, utilities, medical expenses, childcare, and transportation.

Eligibility

  • notes: Applicants must be residents of Dakota, Ramsey, or Washington County, Minnesota for at least 30 days. Applications are submitted by caseworkers from nonprofit organizations (501(c)(3)) or government agencies on behalf of eligible clients. Individuals cannot apply directly. Applicants must not have received a grant from the CSF within the last 18 months, and no other household member can have received one in that timeframe. Need must be created by an unforeseen emergency event and be a health/human services-related need. The fund is a resource of last resort after other assistance options are exhausted.
