Emergency Response Fund

The Emergency Response Fund provides grants to eligible nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, government entities, and tribal governments in Emmet County responding to emergencies. Funds can support disaster relief, housing assistance, operational support, and community resilience projects. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with weekly review and decisions expected within three weeks of approval.

Eligibility

  • notes: Tax-exempt charitable organizations (501c3), educational institutions, state agencies, tribal governments, or municipalities; must be current with tax status and Michigan charitable solicitation registration if applicable; must be located in Emmet County or serve significant number of Emmet County residents; must not discriminate in hiring or services; if receiving other emergency funding for same purpose, must demonstrate complementary (non-duplicative) use of Community Foundation funds. Not eligible: annual fundraising campaigns, political campaigns, sectarian projects, or services normally supported by tax dollars.
