Small Grants for Small Children

This fund provides grants to nonprofit organizations in Washington County that preserve and maintain historical and cultural properties, promote the fine arts, and encourage interest in history and historic preservation. The fund awarded over $89,000 to 13 organizations in 2025, with applications released annually in January.

The Western Indiana Community Foundation offers three types of grants to nonprofit organizations in Fountain and Vermillion Counties: Rapid Response Grants ($1-$2,500), Community Impact Grants ($2,501-$7,500), and Legacy Grants ($7,500+). Applications are accepted on a rolling monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual basis depending on grant type, with specific deadlines throughout the year.

The Copernicus Foundation Music Grant Program provides funding to enhance and sustain musical opportunities for everyone in Portage County, with priority given to projects that expand music access for youth. Grants support creative music projects including instrument availability, music-related technology, and exposure to music for underserved populations.
