La Crosse Area Community Foundation Competitive Grants Program

The La Crosse Area Community Foundation offers multiple competitive grant programs including micro grants ($250–$3,000), mini grants ($1,000–$15,000), standard grants (minimum $15,000), and capacity building grants ($50,000–$90,000 over two years) for charitable organizations serving La Crosse County, Wisconsin. Applications follow quarterly cycles with specific open and close dates throughout 2026.
Eligibility
- notes: Applicant organizations must be 501(c)(3) public charities or governmental bodies (including schools and municipalities) if project is above and beyond regular budgeted items. Organizations without 501(c)(3) status may use fiscal sponsor. Must be located in and/or primarily serve La Crosse County, Wisconsin. Micro grants require annual organizational budget of $500,000 or less. K-12 public schools eligible for one micro grant application per school per year. No applicants with past due grant reports in the same grant category. All awardees must agree to LACF requirements including DEIB Appendix.
