Critical Needs Requests
Offered by COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF TAMPA BAY INC
Community Foundation Tampa Bay's Critical Needs List allows nonprofits to submit requests for emergency funding up to $250,000 for unexpected, time-sensitive needs that disrupt service delivery or threaten organizational operations. Requests are matched with donations from fundholders and community philanthropists on a rolling basis rather than through a competitive process.
Eligibility
- notes: Must be tax-exempt under IRC section 501(c)(3); serving Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, or Citrus counties; exhibit strong management and sound leadership; must not have received a Critical Needs List grant within the current fiscal year. Critical needs must be unbudgeted, unforeseen, time-sensitive emergencies that significantly interfere with essential service provision or pose imminent threat to operations. Does not fund annual appeals, budget deficits, ongoing expenses, research, religious/sectarian purposes, scholarships, travel, or service expansion.
