Amelia Earhart Fellowship

Offered by THE FOUNDATION OF THE BROOME-TIOGA ASSOCIATION FOR RETARDED CITIZENS

Zonta International offers the Amelia Earhart Fellowship, a US$10,000 annual award to up to 30 women pursuing Ph.D./doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering and space sciences. The fellowship supports women from around the world studying at accredited universities and has awarded over US$12.2 million to 1,365 women from 80 countries since 1938.

Eligibility

  • notes: Women of any nationality pursuing a Ph.D./doctoral degree in aerospace engineering or space sciences with superior academic records are eligible. Applicants must be registered full-time in a Ph.D./doctoral program and have completed at least one year of the program or have a master's degree in an aerospace-applied field at application time. Club members, direct Zonta members, and employees of Zonta International are ineligible. Previous Amelia Earhart Fellows cannot renew for a second year.
