Strengthening Neighborhoods Program

The Denver Foundation's Strengthening Neighborhoods Program provides small grants to community-led groups in the Metro Denver region to either hire capacity-building coaches or support grassroots community organizing campaigns and projects. The program aims to support communities where people earn less than area median income and communities of color, with an average grant size of $2,500.

Eligibility

  • notes: Must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3). Must be led by at least three unrelated people/leaders. Must be located in and do work in the seven-county Metro Denver region. Not eligible: sponsorships, retroactive funding, debt retirement, re-granting, medical/scientific/academic research, grants furthering religious activities, scholarships, or organizations that discriminate based on protected characteristics.
