Grants are awarded through an annual cycle with applications reviewed by a local committee to improve quality of life in the county.

The SPARK Grant supports innovative community ideas in Hudson, Wisconsin. Finalists pitch their ideas live at the SPARK Tank Challenge for up to $20,000 in funding. Applications open June 15 with a Pitch Preview, and full grant applications are due September 15.

The Denver Foundation's Strengthening Neighborhoods Program provides small grants to community-led groups in the Metro Denver region to either hire capacity-building coaches or support grassroots community organizing campaigns and projects. The program aims to support communities where people earn less than area median income and communities of color, with an average grant size of $2,500.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with typical deadlines of February 1 and August 1, and a grant portal is available for submission.

The DuPage Foundation's Community Impact Grant Program supports nonprofit initiatives that enhance quality of life for DuPage County residents through a Seed Sustain Strengthen grantmaking model. The program funds health and human services, youth education, workforce development, environment, and animal welfare organizations with 501(c)(3) status.

Black Hawk County Grants are available to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, government entities, and other tax-exempt organizations (if the project is deemed charitable) serving Black Hawk County, Iowa. Grants support projects that improve quality of life in the community across areas including arts & culture, education, health, human services, and environment. Two grant cycles are offered annually with applications reviewed by a local committee.

The Allegan County Community Foundation offers multiple grant cycles including Community Grants, TAG Team Youth Grants, Food Security Grants, Pride Fund Grants, Capital Campaign Grants, Disaster Response Grants, Plainwell Community Fund Grants, and Plainwell Education Foundation Mini Grants. These grants support programs benefiting residents of Allegan County across various focus areas such as basic needs, arts, environment, economic development, animal welfare, youth development, food security, LGBTQIA+ support, and education.
