Balabanis Nursing Scholarship

The Humboldt Health Foundation offers nursing scholarships up to $1,500 for students from Humboldt County pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher advanced nursing degree program. A total of $5,000 is available annually, with preference given to BIPOC students and those committed to serving underserved and rural communities.

Eligibility

  • notes: Students from Humboldt County currently attending college or graduate school pursuing or intending to pursue a nationally accredited (CCNE or ACEN) Bachelor of Science in Nursing program or higher advanced nursing degree. Preference given to BIPOC students, those accepted into or enrolled in BSN or higher degree nursing programs, and those demonstrating dedication to underserved populations and rural communities with intent to practice nursing in Humboldt County after graduation.
