Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award

Offered by THE FOUNDATION OF THE BROOME-TIOGA ASSOCIATION FOR RETARDED CITIZENS

This award recognizes young women ages 16-19 for demonstrating leadership skills and commitment to public service and civic causes. Zonta International offers 37 international awards of US$5,000 each year, with applications starting at the local Zonta club level and advancing through district and international selection.

Eligibility

  • notes: Applicants must be women aged 16-19 as of April 1st each year, living in or citizens of a Zonta district country. Must demonstrate: active commitment to volunteerism; experience in local government, student government, or workplace leadership (paid or unpaid); volunteer leadership achievements; knowledge of Zonta International and its programs; and support for Zonta's mission. Previous district and international award recipients are not eligible. Zonta club members, Zonta International direct members, Zonta Foundation employees, and selection committee members are not eligible.
