About this grant
The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) awards competitive grants to Tennessee municipalities and counties for collecting household hazardous waste at permanent sites, including temporary storage buildings, siting of permanent collection facilities, safety equipment and signage, and operating and disposal reimbursement. No matching funds are required, and awards are based on merit and alignment with the State's 2015-2025 Solid Waste and Materials Management Plan.
