The Empowerment Fund

The High Fives Foundation's Empowerment Fund offers two grant cycles per year to support individuals recovering from life-altering injuries in pursuing goals related to outdoor adventure sports. Grants are provided for adaptive sports equipment, healing network, medical equipment, programs, living expenses, and emergency care/injury expenses.

Eligibility

  • notes: Applicants must have suffered a life-changing injury (spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputation, or other mobility-limiting injury). Primary eligibility: injured in outdoor adventure sports. Secondary eligibility: service-connected veterans can apply for adaptive sports equipment. Tertiary eligibility: those injured in non-sports-related accidents can apply for adaptive sports equipment only. Applicants must complete the Eligibility Form and meet Terms of Eligibility.
