About this grant
The Specialty Crop Multi-State Program (SCMP) competitively awards funds to enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops through collaborative, multi-state projects addressing food safety, plant pests and disease, research, crop-specific issues, and marketing and promotion. Projects must involve two or more states/territories and are three-year projects with funding between $250,000 and $1,000,000. Approximately $14.3 million is available for FY 2026.
Eligibility details
- Notes: Applicants must be domestic entities owned, operated, and located within the 50 States, DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, US Virgin Islands, or Northern Mariana Islands. Eligible entities include state departments of agriculture, local governments, Indian tribes, institutions of higher education, and nonprofit organizations. Entities in participating states must apply through their State Department of Agriculture; entities in non-participating states may apply directly to AMS or through an adjacent participating state. Partnerships must include two or more states/territories.
