About this grant
The NCCF Disaster Relief Fund's WNC Prepared and Resilient Communities Grant Program supports charitable organizations working to build preparedness and resilience in western North Carolina communities impacted by Hurricane Helene. Grants fund efforts that help communities anticipate, withstand, recover from, and adapt to disasters, with preference for the most severely impacted counties. Approximately $6 million is available, with awards not expected to exceed $100,000.
Eligibility details
- Notes: Eligible: 501(c)(3) public charities registered with the IRS; organizations with a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor; local governments (including public schools); faith-based organizations for social outreach/charitable programs benefiting the community at large. Programs must serve without discrimination. Recovery-focused efforts are not eligible; grants must build community preparedness/resilience rather than solely the applicant organization.
