Community Pet Fund (CPF)
Offered by CHAFFEE COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
The Community Pet Fund provides funding for life-saving veterinary care to Chaffee County pets, covering up to 50% of emergency or life-threatening illness treatment costs. A separate Low-Income Community Pet Fund (LI-CPF) extends eligibility to verified low-income and unsheltered pet owners with expanded funding uses including preventative and end-of-life care.
Eligibility
- notes: Applicant must be the owner of the pet and a resident of Chaffee County, Colorado. For CPF: pet must have emergent care with good prognosis (life-threatening or debilitating condition treatable with likely survival of one or more years). For LI-CPF: pet owner must provide proof of low-income status via referral letter from local human service agency or enrollment in CO assistance programs (SNAP, Health First Colorado/Medicaid, SSDI, etc.). Application can be submitted by pet owner or referring agency staff member.
