The Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan has reactivated its Urgent Needs Fund to support nonprofit organizations and eligible institutions providing vital services to individuals and families affected by the March/April 2025 ice storms in northeast Michigan. Grants support direct assistance such as food, utilities, cleanup, and property repairs in response to the disaster.

The Grand Rapids Community Foundation offers grants through its Fund for Community Good to 501(c)(3) nonprofits, government entities, and organizations willing to attain fiscal sponsorship. Funding supports education, health, neighborhoods, arts and culture, economic prosperity, and environment initiatives with a focus on advancing racial equity in Kent County, Michigan.

The Emergency Response Fund provides grants to eligible nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, government entities, and tribal governments in Emmet County responding to emergencies. Funds can support disaster relief, housing assistance, operational support, and community resilience projects. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with weekly review and decisions expected within three weeks of approval.

Rx Kids is a citywide cash assistance program providing unconditional cash payments to pregnant people and families with infants in Kalamazoo. Eligible participants receive $1,500 during pregnancy and $500 per month for the baby's first year, with applications accepted on a rolling basis.

The Nashwauk Area Community Fund provides discretionary grants to 501(c)(3) and other not-for-profit organizations in the Nashwauk area and surrounding townships to improve quality of life. Applicants can apply during spring and fall grant cycles.

Point of Pride's Annual Transgender Surgery Fund provides direct financial assistance to transgender individuals who cannot afford gender-affirming surgery. The program is a scholarship-like grant that covers surgical costs for eligible procedures performed in the United States. Applications open November 1 and close November 30 each year.
