The Albuquerque Community Foundation awards annual grants to nonprofits serving the Greater Albuquerque Metropolitan Area (Bernalillo, Sandoval, Torrance, and Valencia counties) across seven fields of interest. Organizations must have been in existence for at least three years and have an annual operating budget of $8 million or less to apply.

The Community Foundation of Broward offers grants twice yearly to support four focus areas: Social & Economic Mobility, Arts & Culture, Education & Youth Enrichment, and Healthy & Thriving Communities. The La Crosse Area Community Foundation offers multiple competitive grant programs including micro grants ($250–$3,000), mini grants ($1,000–$15,000), standard grants (minimum $15,000), and capacity building grants ($50,000–$90,000 over two years) for charitable organizations serving La Crosse County, Wisconsin. Applications follow quarterly cycles with specific open and close dates throughout 2026.

The Kalamazoo Community Foundation's Emergency Scholarship Fund provides up to $5,000 in one-time awards to help students cover unexpected educational costs such as overdue tuition, textbooks, and certification fees. Awards are made on a rolling basis with applications reviewed monthly, and recipients can apply multiple times.

The Community Urgent Relief Fund is Kalamazoo Community Foundation's rapid-response grant program designed to provide emergency funding during community crises and natural disasters. Currently focused on supporting residents and nonprofit organizations serving those impacted by the May 7, 2024 tornadoes in Kalamazoo County. The fund provides flexible, one-time awards for direct assistance, temporary housing, home repairs, and disaster response services.

Legacy Foundation, Indiana's largest community foundation for Lake County, offers multiple grant programs including Sponsorship Grants ($250-$2,000), Transform Lake County Grants ($2,000-$35,000), Knight Grants (up to $100,000), Nonprofit Teambuilding Grants ($500-$2,000), and the Lake County Resilience Grant (up to $40,000 per organization). Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for most programs, with specific deadlines for Transform Lake County Grants.

An annual grant of up to $3,000 awarded to nonprofit organizations or citizen groups seeking to enhance public spaces in McLean County with green plants or trees. Projects must beautify and naturalize parks or common public areas visible to many people, such as school gardens, pollinator gardens, or residential common parks.

The Latah County Community Foundation offers grants up to $3,000 for nonprofit organizations in Latah County for project/program support, capacity building, or operating support. Grants are awarded semi-annually with deadlines in April and October, with recipients notified within 60 days of the deadline.

The Kern River Valley Community Fund (KRVCF) is a permanently endowed fund managed by Kern Community Foundation that distributes grants to support social, economic, and environmental prosperity in the Kern River Valley region of Kern County, California. The next grant cycle opens in September 2026.

The Lincoln Community Foundation awards grants to 501(c)(3) organizations within the Western Placer Unified School District footprint (Lincoln/Sheridan area) for youth, education, seniors, and community benefit programs. Applicants must be in good standing with regulatory agencies, use funds within six months, and acknowledge the foundation's contribution.

The Korean American Foundation provides grants to nonprofits working on housing assistance, hardship relief, senior care, mental health, community development, youth programs, and inter-community relations. The 2026 Community Grant cycle opens April 1, with the 2025 cycle having run May 19 through July 14.

The Humboldt Health Foundation (HHF) accepts proposals annually in August for its Community Health Grant Program, which supports projects that enhance physical and mental wellbeing of Humboldt County residents with priority given to organizations serving Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities. Grants range from $5,000–$8,000 on average, with a maximum of $15,000, and can support general operating costs, programs, services, advocacy, organizing, and racial equity initiatives.

The Humboldt Health Foundation offers nursing scholarships up to $1,500 for students from Humboldt County pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher advanced nursing degree program. A total of $5,000 is available annually, with preference given to BIPOC students and those committed to serving underserved and rural communities.

The Angel Fund provides small grants to support unmet health needs of Humboldt County residents through qualified sponsors such as social service agencies, school counselors, or medical providers. Grants typically range from $50–$250 and are made on a one-time basis per person per 365-day period.

The GMCF Deihl Arts fund supports community and public arts projects located in Manhattan and Riley County, Kansas that are free and open to the public. Grants are intended for long-term displays and projects of all art forms that engage the public, with awards generally exceeding $10,000.

The Small Grants Program, established through a gift of real estate from P.K. Desai, provides funding for capital items and projects that solve problems and deliver services in Greene County, Ohio. Grants are limited to $1,000 or less and support charitable organizations with well-planned approaches to community needs.

The Erie County Community Foundation offers community grants to support projects serving Erie County, Ohio residents. Applicants can apply through the online grant portal with two annual cycles—February 1 and August 1 deadlines. Eligible organizations include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, governmental entities, churches, schools, and other tax-exempt entities.

The El Paso Community Foundation provides grants to nonprofits in the greater El Paso region across multiple areas including arts, education, environment, health, human services, and economic development. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with typical deadlines of February 1 and August 1, and a grant portal is available for submission.

The LGBTQ Fund provides grants to community organizations in West Michigan with programming addressing social determinants of health for LGBTQ+ communities. The fund supports wellness, visibility, acceptance, and access to resources for LGBTQ+ populations. Grant applications will open in mid-2026.

The Grand Rapids Community Foundation offers grants through its Fund for Community Good to support nonprofits and government entities working toward racial equity across education, health, neighborhoods, arts and culture, economic prosperity, and environment. Applicants submit a brief pre-application, and selected projects advance to a full application with site visit before final approval and disbursement.
