The Emergency Action Fund for Food Insecurity provides critical support to nonprofits, educational institutions, and government entities serving families impacted by food insecurity and the pause in SNAP benefits in New Mexico. The Community Urgent Relief Fund is Kalamazoo Community Foundation's rapid-response grant program designed to provide emergency funding during community crises and natural disasters. Currently focused on supporting residents and nonprofit organizations serving those impacted by the May 7, 2024 tornadoes in Kalamazoo County. The Disaster Recovery and Rebuilding Fund provides grants to eligible regional, community-based nonprofits and faith-based organizations responding to community needs after an officially-declared disaster in Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton, and Colleton Counties. Community Foundation Tampa Bay's Critical Needs List allows nonprofits to submit requests for emergency funding up to $250,000 for unexpected, time-sensitive needs that disrupt service delivery or threaten organizational operations. Requests are matched with donations from fundholders and community philanthropists on a rolling basis rather than through a competitive process.

The Allegan County Community Foundation offers multiple grant cycles including Community Grants, TAG Team Youth Grants, Food Security Grants, Pride Fund Grants, Capital Campaign Grants, Disaster Response Grants, Plainwell Community Fund Grants, and Plainwell Education Foundation Mini Grants. These grants support programs benefiting residents of Allegan County across various focus areas such as basic needs, arts, environment, economic development, animal welfare, youth development, food security, LGBTQIA+ support, and education.

The Adirondack Community Foundation's Special and Urgent Needs Fund provides responsive grants to assist Adirondack communities and nonprofits during times of crisis and unexpected funding gaps. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis year-round with decisions typically made within two to three weeks.

The Legacy Endowment's Community Fund provides special, out-of-cycle grants to nonprofit organizations for immediate-use projects, programs, and services that benefit residents of Bonsall, Fallbrook, and North San Diego County. Applications are accepted year-round on a rolling basis, with decisions made within 30 days.

Aware & Prepare provides funding to support disaster preparedness and emergency management initiatives in Santa Barbara County. Eligible organizations must be members of the Santa Barbara County Emergency Manager's Committee or Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD) and demonstrate a history of collaboration on preparedness efforts.

The Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan has reactivated its Urgent Needs Fund to support nonprofit organizations and eligible institutions providing vital services to individuals and families affected by the March/April 2025 ice storms in northeast Michigan. Grants support direct assistance such as food, utilities, cleanup, and property repairs in response to the disaster.

The Coastal Conservancy issues millions of dollars annually in grants for projects that restore and protect the California coast, expand public access, and enhance climate resilience. Most grants are awarded through a rolling pre-application solicitation, with some programs offered through scheduled grant rounds. Grant amounts typically range from $200,000 to $5,000,000.

Grants are awarded through referrals from nonprofit organizations and government agencies for needs such as rent, utilities, medical expenses, childcare, and transportation.

The FANS Fund provides emergency assistance to individuals, families, and nonprofit organizations in Washington County, MD addressing urgent community needs. Organizations and individuals can submit requests via a Request Form, with awards up to $1,000 based on the severity and urgency of the need.
